About Behavior Impact Solutions LLC
My name is Giovanna Brown and I am the founder and sole Behavior Analyst at Behavior Impact Solutions, LLC. I have worked in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) since 2019, when I started as a behavior technician. Shortly after starting as a technician I realized my passion for the field and the impact I had by teaching new skills to clients. I received my Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis from Simmons University and completed my board certification in February 2024. During my time in the field, I have worked in centers and home settings. I have worked at several different centers which led to my passion for providing individualized, high quality care. I work primarily with clients ages 2-12 and have experience developing and managing individualized behavior programs. I enjoy teaching communication skills and value compassion based care over compliance.
What is ABA Therapy?
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy is a scientifically validated approach that helps individuals learn new skills and change behaviors by using the principles of learning and behavior. ABA therapy is used to help individuals with autism and other developmental disorders learn new skills and increase their ability to communicate, interact with others, and perform daily living skills. ABA is considered an effective therapy for individuals with autism and other developmental disorders.
ABA therapists work with individuals and their families to set specific, measurable, and achievable goals based on individual needs. ABA therapy can help reduce behaviors that interfere with learning, social interaction, or safety. The goal of ABA therapy is to increase independence and help individuals develop skills that increase their ability to care for themselves and participate in daily activities.
