About Behavior Impact Solutions LLC
My name is Giovanna Brown and I am the owner and sole Behavior Analyst at Behavior Impact Solutions, LLC. I have worked in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) since 2019, when I started as a behavior technician. Shortly after starting as a technician I realized my passion for the field and the impact I had by teaching new skills to clients. I received my Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis from Simmons University and completed my board certification in February 2024. During my time in the field, I have worked in centers and home settings. I have worked at several different centers which led to my passion for providing individualized, high quality care. I work primarily with clients ages 2-8 and have experience developing and managing individualized behavior programs. I enjoy teaching communication skills and value compassion based care over compliance.
I believe that every child can learn and when a child is not learning, the way they’re being taught can be changed, or at least something in the environment so that they can learn. I also believe that change should be seen across environments, and not just in a clinical setting. I believe caregiver involvement is an important part of services as I want to empower caregivers to implement strategies in the home and community setting. Caregiver involvement also provides consistency for clients, as strategies are implemented across all environments and not just at a center. This is why I decided to offer a parent led training model. Although this model does not provide intensive, full time ABA therapy at a center, it teaches caregivers the skills and strategies that would be implemented at a center so they have the power to implement these skills and strategies and respond to challenging behaviors at home.
Caregiver-mediated ABA interventions can make a meaningful impact on children’s progress. Caregivers who are trained to implement ABA strategies can facilitate their child’s learning in both targeted and non-targeted areas. Children are also more likely to generalize and retain skills when they receive consistent practice across settings. With parent led training, parents can reinforce skills during routines like mealtime, play, or bedtime, making progress feel natural and building on skills across situations.
The parent led training model also offers a flexible, accessible alternative to traditional services. Parent led training may be a suitable option for families who may not be able to access or prefer not to pursue comprehensive services. A parent led model allows families to bring ABA directly into their home or community environments. This model offers the flexibility to start intervention immediately and integrate it into daily routines, without the need to wait for traditional services.

Process
-
Free brief consultation (see link on contact page) to determine if services are appropriate and a good fit. Since services are currently only provided by a BCBA, please be mindful that client’s requiring more intensive services (30-40 hours/week) will not be accepted at this time. We are more than happy to provide a list of other providers in the area that may be able to meet this need. At this time we are only accepting self pay, however, services typically can be paid for with insurance, and in the future we hope to offer this. Please also be mindful that for insurance to cover services, this requires an autism diagnosis, referral for ABA therapy, and comprehensive diagnostic evaluation.
-
If services are determined to be a good fit, intake will begin. Funding should be reviewed during the brief consultation and determined before intake officially begins. If insurance is being used, this process will start during intake. An intake packet will also be completed and after an assessment will be completed by a BCBA. Depending on the client and funder, any assessment typically takes anywhere from 4-8 hours and is completed over multiple days. The assessment process will include caregiver interview, direct observation, and skills assessment(s).
-
After intake and the assessment by a BCBA are completed, the assessment will be reviewed with caregiver(s) and client if appropriate. Along with the assessment will be an individualized treatment plan that is based on assessment results and outlines specific behaviors for reduction as well as skill acquisition goals. The amount of hours required per week will be proposed and will include the recommended hours per month for parent training. An assessment will only be completed if we are currently able to provide services, so if you agree with the treatment plan, services can be started as soon you’d like. If we are full and unable to take more clients, you will be informed and put on a waitlist before the intake process begins.
